The batch stuff is interesting because it would explain why we are not seeing any issues here - My understanding is that all the AZ vaccine produced in the UK is currently being used in the UK, and that we are not importing AZ vaccine from the EU production sites that had all those issue ramping up production.
A dodgy batch will still be terrible for general vaccine safety reputation - all these "issues" seem to be the AZ one rather than any of the others.
