Snow White and the Huntsman what's not to like. Witches, fairies, fawns, trolls, dwarves, magic forests. Two hours of splendid visual entertainment.

Watched Blindspotting last night. Total ride - would recommend.

Coming2America, just as you’d expect, has its moments but not a patch on the original.

I think I laughed twice.

Oh. This is interesting news.

I tried to carry on the 90s magic by watching Commando, also on Disney+
It was shit.

I haven't seen Commando in a few years but remember enjoying it a lot. Worth it for the soundtrack and the same handful of very distinctive stuntmen getting repeatedly annihilated.

Al the die hards though. Well. Not alllll of them. But the first two.
And idiocracy. -

I think die hard with a. Vengeance is the best one.

I was gonna say, number 3 is a belter. Although I’m slightly swayed by the fact we had it on vhs recorded off the telly, so I watched it a ridiculous amount of times as a kid.

One and 2 are crackers but 3 I think is the best, I’ve watched it a million times. That era of Bruce Willis stuff was all bangers I think

I really liked Live Free or Die Hard, it threw you straight back into the absurd action plus he weaponised a cop car:

I watched Willy's Wonderland last night. Very stupid but very fun. I'm enjoying the weird, over the top horror film trajectory Nicholas Cage is on. If you don't like Nicholas Cage or the idea of him commuting unspeakable acts of violence on animatronic animals, it's probably not for you though.

in a similar vein - if you're up for some ace retro Troma v Power Rangers deep fried nonsense, look no further than

Sally Potter's Orlando is so relevant today in the era of what is Britain and what is gender.
Sumptuous, with the great androgenous Tilda Swinton in the title role -

I will enjoy this.

That's now on my watchlist for next time I need something stupid!

Saw it was recently added to bfi player, a perennial favourite of mine but decided to watch something I hadn't seen before - Timbuktu (2014). Beautiful and quietly devastating. I found the foreground story a bit confusing but everything else so clear and perfectly pitched.

Just watched the mule on prime, actually quiet good!
Al Capone - Tom Hardy gets to mumble again, this time through the syphilitic nightmare last year of Fonze. I really struggled to give a fuck.
