Billy Gibbons uses 7’s. Only on his dedicated slide guitars does he go for the heavy 8’s.
I just switched to 9’s after a lifetime of 10s and 11’s . Should have done it years ago. Still have 10s on some things, bit on the right guitar, lighter strings make you fly!
