Just been reflecting one of my favourite rig rundown tropes where the loyal guitar tech confirms or adds to the hype around a famous guitarist's superhuman abilities.
Was reminded of it the other day when Neil Young's tech claimed that Neil could identify the exact voltage at a venue from the sound of his amp.
Oh, Neil's tech also claimed NY's disappointingly un-macho pick thickness preference was in fact essential, because "if he used a thick pick he'd RIP THE STRINGS OFF".
