Another vote for a Peugeot! I've had one for two years and it's the best pepper mill I've ever owned or used.

I have Le Creuset and like how they don't loosen periodically like all other grinders I've had.

Pfft, I'm waiting for a peppermil manufacturer ro reflect the zeitgeist and fit
a power meter so I can check my grip isn't wasting away. -

Pretty sure your grip will be fine

But how would he know for sure?
-

I was subtlety suggesting that his grip was getting a good workout in other ways, apart from grinding peppercorns

I use a weighted pepper shaker for my daily workouts.

I'm wondering who at Peugeot, had the thought to dip the company's toe into the lucrative 'high-end pepper mill' market?

Peugeot have been making coffee and pepper/salt grinders since 1840.
Parents in law have an ancient Peugeot coffee grinder and it still works amazingly.

Hah! I guess I was always setting myself up to look like a prick with that one. I'll try flipping it: "So guys, I know we do pepper grinders really well, but you know what everyone's into these days? Cars and shit..."

Peugeot pepper/salt mills are in the same class of heirloom class French kitchen accessories as Mauviel copper, Le Creuset cast iron.

Pretty sure that’s exactly what happened!
The starting core of your business being a steel foundry helps I guess. -

Bitd I knew a Finnish guy who worked for the firm that was the distributor for Mitsubishi,
the whole product range.
They did well importing construction machinery,
and would receive 'gifts' of Misubishi consumer items,
microwaves, presumably rice cookers etc.
They never quite worked out how to get a Misubishi car in the same shipping container
as a back hoe loader. -

Just bought one of these: NN-ST46KBBPQ .
Exciting times.

They do a cracking line in ship propellers too. I buy all my ship propellers from Mitsubishi.
