NS Rag + Rebuild

Got bored whilst in enforced isolation so stripped down my NS RAG. I need to finish removing the paint, then its going to get a spraybike job.

So far. The build is looking budget but pretty.

Wheels are less budget. Dt 350 front hub. Not sure on rear yet (would like a matching hub, but wheel budget exceeded). Bontrager line 30 carbon rims. Will probably use sapim D light spokes

What BB?

Probably a UN55. Will figure out width once ring is on.

Zipp, middleburn and woolftooth(?) are budget?

I suppose it depends on what budget means, absolute black ring was a bargain due to it being 130bcd.

Zipp XPLR stuff is service course level. So rrp £50 per item, which is very reasonable these days.

Middleburn is less than £200rrp for crank and spider. Whilst not exactly cheap, its not silly money for something will last forever. Grx 800 is £215 rrp and the finish will last 1 ride

Plus, I work in the trade.

No actual gold colour , gold is the type of paint from montana

I have a similar chainset with a 110bcd n/w ring. Ended up using older + cheaper Middleburn MTB cranks and the BETD spider shown. Did some guesswork for the UN55 BB spindle length and it all seemed to line up and work alright. Just a thought if you're trying to save money...

Ordered the crank yesterday. The prices at BETD are pretty reasonable i think.
