  • Cheers I'm going for it Sunday. I'm sure a PB is on as the plan has been going really well. I'm going to treat it like a race and carb up the day before and make sure I'm fully hydrated, proper race warm up and get stuck in. Hope the plans going well for you. Are you waiting until the end of the 12 weeks before you test yourself?

  • I've stopped. Sadly. I got ill. Missed a hill session and a long run. Lost motivation for a week. Decided to jump straight back in with a tough speed session 8x300 and 4 x150, which I did at 4:45-4:48, so a decent lick. Then couldn't walk due to achilles pain for about 4 days. Felt a bit better so did the virtual road relays time trial, 5 miles in 28.24 and hurt myself again. Have made it up to 40 minutes today but can't toe off on my left foot. So yeah, will have to start again at some point, particularly now there's racing possibilities ahead.

  • Unlucky especially as you were clearly going very well. Heal up soon and hopefully you'll be able to get back on it soon 🤞 i would find this plan too tough to just jump into after a layoff for any reason. However a couple of weeks to get over your injury then a month building the miles back up before starting a plan you could be hitting peak fitness by July when there should be plenty of races. Hopefully that works out for you. I'm in danger of either being past my best or over cooked by the time i actually get to race. At least I'll know the plan works for me so i can see it becoming a template i keep referring back to.
