  • No. There have been a couple of sightings of similar cats in the area but definitely not him. I'm probably being over sensitive and it's nice that people want to help, but the photos we have been sent are similar enough to make our hearts stop, but a 2 second cross check with the photos we out up would show you that they are not him. WHY GET OUR HOPES UP!?!? DON'T JUST SEND US MESSAGES SAYING "IS THIS YOUR CAT?" WHEN IT CLEARLY ISN'T OUR FUCKING CAT!!!!!!

  • Our other cat fucked off for the whole day during moving day. Meant I had to do most of it by myself while ms_com waited in the old flat in case she came back. We eventually just had to leave, set the cat flap to in only and let the new owner know. Cue a phonecall at 9pm from the new owner saying there was a very confused Jelly in the spare room. I had to go round and interrupt the new owners first night in their first flat to get our belligerent cat crammed into a carrier she then refused to go in.

  • And Jelly is still shunning the litter tray two months on in favour of the fireplace. Having to put puppy pads down to stop it soaking into the brickwork (more). She is venturing outside but clearly not to do her business. In the last flat they both only went outside, hadn't used a litter tray in years. When we moved, Mogget took to it straight away but Jelly wouldn't .

  • Mogget bowled in at 4am. A little skinny but otherwise ok.

  • Bella is enjoying the particulates emitted by our wood stove from her spot on the rug.

  • Great news about Mogget.

  • Ace - there’s no joy that beats the return of a missing cat!

  • That’s great news.

  • No Fucking way!!! Brilliant. Little bastard!

Wouldn't you love to know where the hell Mogget got to!?

  • Cats went outside.

One took a piss on the shitty wicker bench that’s sat on the deck when we were literally a foot away. The other got in a standoff with five doors down cat after being chased out of the shed by a robot mop.

    Great success.

  • Welcome back.

  • I had to catch one today (again), ours gently brings them in and lets them run free.

  • Excellent! My wife has been doing her daily run around the park and your local roads in the hope that she might spot him, I can now tell her she can go back to her usual route :)

  • That's very kind, thank you(her).

He's been a bit off since he's been back. Eating, drinking, pooing and pissing just fine. But I think understandably lethargic seeing as he clearly was a but malnourished. Also yowling if he's not in the same room as us but then when he does find us he'll climb onto our lap or the bed and curl up purring. Just seems a bit sad. And his sister is being a dick and hissing at him still. But I'm sure that will pass. At least I think she is now using the outside as a toilet and not the fireplace. It's either that or somewhere else in the house that will become apparent very soon I'm sure.

  • The kittens are now >6 months old so are being let out into the garden. How can I get them to start pooing outside ASAP and bring the tyranny of the litter tray to an end?

Bonus pic of one of them

  • We got rid of ours when we spotted her going at the bottom of our garden

  • Got a porch or an area near their exit where you can put the litter tray? Start with that. Also put some pop from the tray in the part of the garden they’d be tempted to visit and see whether that gets their head round it?

  • Surely you would want to aim for them to shit in someone else’s garden? 😬
