Also, tbf the ones in Dammit's block would need work to even get to the standard of the Sydenham ones.

It's what the local estate agent recommended.
And as Aaron says, both of these garages are the snuggle toothed cousins of the Sydenham one.

Fair enough. I mean it's great if you can get them for that price but I can't imagine the sellers letting them go for it.
Looking forward to finding out!

About £2.5k for 25SqM of board with loftzone, new hatch (there wasn't one before), ladder and electric light. You could probably get it done for about £1.5k if you tweaked the options
I got it done by these https://www.idealloftladders.co.uk/quote-builder who I'd recommend. The website gives you a good idea of the different cost options.

Where can I get rid of a Microwave in SE23? Related: would anyone like a somewhat functional microwave?

Put it on the kerb on the main road.
Alternatively, there's a recycle point on Sydenham hill near Lammas green or just down but before the wood house. -

Are you Lewisham or Southwark? If Southwark they will take it and recycle it at the centre off the OKR. You just need to book the slot.

My new house has a double garage and so far all I'm putting in it is a dryer. 😂 #notlondon

Ah, this is useful, can I just drop it in a bin/similar?

Shed talk.
Base going in this weekend. 4.2m x 2.3m
Materials arrive on Friday
Ordered shed this morning from Beast Sheds.
They quoted 6-8 weeks from order to deliver/install. Fine
Then they rang back and said they had a cancellation and can do next Tuesday.
I say sure.
Now worried everything is going to go wrong. -

Welcome to living the dream :)

Pulled the trigger on the exterior work (rendering/pointing/sills/painting), the fireplace/chimney breast (making good the brick work, plastering over, coving around the breast and leaving a space for a more traditional fireplace) and the front door restoration (full works - strip back and repaint, new hardware, restoration of all stained glass, leaded lights and fan lights, adding safety/security glass and new custom brass step nose).
Have quotes for the loft bathroom and to gut and redecorate my daughter's future bedroom (with a new airing cupboard as that's where the HW tank is), but will wait a bit for those.

I've been looking at these. Which model did you go for?
It would be great hear what you think of it when it goes up in 6days(!)

I went for a 13 x 7' pent H with the double wide doors and 1x extra height. 4 security windows.
I've seen one in real life at a friend's house and the quality of hers was excellent. Properly sturdy. Hope it turns out well.

I really wanted to but time is my enemy at the moment and storing my bikes at the big yellow closest to me is currently costing me over £300 p/m
Quite often the ones in blocks have to be sold to an existing resident and can't be sold externally, this means the prices are much lower as there's a limited supply of possibly buyers.
