  • Cannondale were calling their Long travel XC bikes “XXC” before down country was a thing (which we can blame pink bike for)

  • This one, too - he claims its the real team frame not the replica but i have never seen this one

  • The optimum fit for [rider name] decal checks out

  • NDS ST decal looks different though

  • Yeah clearly but I think the presence of the other one is more convincing for than that is against

  • Does it have a threaded bottom bracket? Doesn’t look bb30 sized

  • ^ This. I'd ask for a pic of the BB shell, team issue frames had rider name engraved AFAIK.

  • Good idea, will do!

Thats what i got so far

  • Looks Faeco, as in diy respray, to me.. I'd wager the stars and stripes one is too.
There's a NOS 56 Systemsix hanging at a shop here if you're looking for something special.

  • That’s as legit as it gets. See this from Giro D Italia !

  • Weird that it says Hollowgram on it but won’t actually fit Hollowgrams. Could be legit though.

  • Thanks guys!

Well, not to keen to spend 500 on something i am not certain of, so might skip this for now

  • Boooooo!!!!!

    Tell me more?

  • Frameset only*, raw colourway, had a warranty card on it...didn't ask as it's not my size.
This is the place, I can call them if you're interested and don't deutsch.

*they also had some SI and controltech bits on display.

  • I am interested and I’m typically English when it comes to languages I’m afraid.

I’d be interested in the frame, and also the correct Control Tech stem etc.

  • No worries, I'll DM you tomorrow.

  • @e54 Hold tight.

  • Sun's out, so I took this out for a spin..

Some digging on archive.org revealed this to be an cannondale/campag sponsored amateur team bike, given the location I got it from this was probably raced at HEW Cyclassics Hamburg.

Considering sourcing an Integralter w/ Sheriff Pin-Up for the semiotics.

  • Managed to finally lace up a pair of surly singlespeed hubs for my 1fg. Bought a 16t halo clickster from an lbs, wanted to try a white industries but they only had 18t. They’re a lot heavier than the Chris kings but nice solid wheels.
Then switched the tires to some Continental cross country’s in 1.5” on my Franck Roman. Really transformed the ride compared to the Maxxis Larsen TT in 2”, I used to use cross countries every winter in the 90’s and was happy to find a pair for cheap forgot how quick they feel. Next step is to switch the brakes to some old xt or ritchey cantis I found in the shed.
