^^There's much talk of what share of the national debt a newly independent Scotland would have to take on, I'm assuming that Scotland would have that as leverage in return with regards to for e.g. pensions.
Additional issue for the current government is that they've pursued a Sovrinty trumps economy line with so much vigour that international news such as CNN is running articles with titles stating that the Johnson administration is gaslighting the whole UK population. I doubt that any financial argument mounted by Johnson/Gove/Sunak will be believed.
