Re the 1920s Granby ... that’s a cracker. What a catalogue find too @SideshowBob! I look forward to you asking what size it is :)

I strongly recommend it, the library alone is worth the fee. I’d go as far as saying you can’t really research British lightweights without it!

Is there anything more off-putting than the phrase “suit L'Eroica Hetchins, Bates etc” in an Ebay post? Maybe the guy in Cambridge with all the car reg pictures and aggression. Apologies in advance if that’s one of you 🙃

ha, those number plate guy adverts annoy me too.

Those listings are so annoying, Why not just have photos of what is for sale.

PLEASE NOTE : -
No bids from anybody with less than 25 positive feedbacks. If you have any negative feedback, also, do not bid, as your bid will be cancelledI just think pfff keep your £200 Hetchins toe strap.

Mr "Bates n' Plates" ... why don't we bombard him with dumb-ass questions till he stops doing it ;-)
-

Just the word "L'Eroica" makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, but maybe that's because I don't know what it means and I can't pronounce it properly.

That’s the one 😂
I did politely point out to him (I presume) a while ago that it was off-putting. I can’t remember exactly the response but something about not being able to control it?! Not sure if it’s ads that offset his costs? Doesn’t make any sense to me. I’ve never seen a tickbox to include spivy reg plates when I’ve been listing stuff.
Anyway, each to his own, but I’m sure it contributes to why those Bates don’t sell.
