• i disagree, in my experaince around 68/69 is nice for long distance adventuring on multi surface for a hardtail.

    I have 67 on my full sus and it's okay but I prefer the sharper steering for non proper mtb.

    he won't actually ride any mtb, he's just a soft aussie who wants suspension for his little soft hands

  • Yeah I get ya. I read "adventures" as more adventurous than what could be done on a gravel bike with 2.0 tyres

    Don't forget though a hardtail will steepen in use much more than an FS, so that cotic looks rad static but by the time it has sagged a little bit under @hippy 's weight....

  • Ok, so that's a thing I have no concept of. I mean, I know what happens with suspension but how do I know what's too steep etc? That's why I was just gonna buy a Surly like everyone rides TD with.
