Thank you!
I have zipp contour sl with the traditional bend on all of my bikes. Its my favorite bars and the decals are removable with a bit of work. They are however getting harder to come by these days.
Nice visual shape and classic appearance with a flat transition to the hoods and a low weight. Great bars imo

It's already been said, but that's a heck of a collection! No bottle cages on any of them?
-
• #2955
They're for delivering food, not drink
-
• #2956
Well i have cages for them all they are just not installed .) Usually have one bike with cages and bottles but as i said i dont have the energy (or perhaps the will) to go on a lot of rides anymore. weekends are for getting some time off the bike. I carry a water bottle in my backpack on hot days or sometimes on the bike but i dont really need them for couriering where i rarely go longer than 20 min between stops.

In progress build but I don't know what i'm doing - obvs a way off completion but apart from what "feels right" - what is the 'right' stem / bar / shifter positioning ? I feel like angle bars up to match stem angle and drop shifters down a smidge ?
This is a 54 frame - i'm 5'11" (just) but with short legs (take 30" trousers max). Seatpost is just below the limit (its a short miche post) - but felt about right height wise when i swung my leg over.
Never ridden a drop bar bike so no frame of reference.

Thank you. That is very helpful.

no frame of reference
I see what you did there.
Yes if you angle the bars up slightly then the ends will be horizontal and the angle will match the stem. Treat that as a starting point for figuring out what feels good. Obviously you'll want to shimmy the brake levers down to the same angle they are now. That might well feel good.
Mount the bar tape after all other components so you can try the position out and make little adjustments before taping.

You're very nearly there, maybe you'll want to tilt the bars a tiny bit. Hood placement looks good, it's usually the bit people get wrong.
-
• #2961
You have the bars tilted forward a little - the end of the bar should be parallel to the ground or maybe pointing slightly upwards. The lever position looks about right, but you might want to move them down a bit to compensate for rotating the handlebars back.
But that's just the convention... do whatever is most comfortable for you!

I would love to build my Serotta up but Royal Mail appear to have lost my group set.

I find a good reference for checking bar angle is the bar ends being parallel with the head tube. Looks like you've got similar shape compact bars to me so that should work. Again, it's all personal preference but the flat transition to the hoods works well for me.

Looks great. Dare I ask what size?
Is that an Aliexpress seatpost?
-
• #2970
Thanks! I'm chuffed with it.
Center to top it's a leggy 63cm
And yep, it's an aliexpress post - the finish is actually quite good considering. -

You’re on the money today. That Concorde is a beauty.
Are you finding all of these on pedalroom?
Yeah well im a bike nut through n through and honestly i dont have the energy to ride my bikes a lot outside of work anymore. Some years ago i still enjoyed grouprides or similar but now the weekends are for relaxing and getting some energy back .) So theres not a lot of time to enjoy the bikes if i dont ride them while working. + Life is to short to ride crappy bikes right. Food deliveries used to be maybe 40% of our workload or something like that pre corona and currently only 10% or so.
Think ive been doing this courier gig for 2 decades or more now and my love for nice bikes just seem to escalate tbh .)
