  • That would be very cool to be fair.

  • "...or I can drop $100+ on Wagyu."

  • I usually train in the main bathroom. As it’s the most out of the way place and ridiculously large in comparison to other rooms.

  • her 7 year old offers us a "cap o' tea? You wont miwk?"

    Devastating.

  • As a complete language snob I can just about handle Saar Flaanden dropped "T"s like wor'ah and bu'ah but I'm keeping an eagle eye out for the weird dropped "the" like "can we go playground?" When that happens I'm immediately leaving London for the home keinties!

  • Language snobs....things I never gotten

  • I think it's alright if the builder doing the extension sounds like that, just not little Poppy, otherwise they'll have to up and sell the house.

  • Sell the house, switch schools, fire the driver and live-in maids. Can’t take any chances.

  • Please just think of the children 🙏

  • go playground

Yeah. This grinds my gears too.

  • This thread needs splitting into 'shameful middle class-isms' and 'laughing at crass rich people'

  • isn't it just a simplification of child-speak? (ie. nothing to do with poshness)

  • I was dropping my t's years before I ever set foot in south london!
agreed (with @abr ) it's not really golf club though...

  • I mean, I got put in here for saying I wouldn't ride a Halfords bike.
Thought mocking what is mostly a working class accent wasn't too out of place.
Especially with the "must protect my kids from sounding like commoners" angle

  • It's all about the consumer purchases! Tbf moving house to avoid commonness maybe counts, I'll give you that.

  • They'll need JRM speech therapy for years to knock the common out.

  • Nowt wrong there, it’s teenage Essex speech these days. Our 15 next door neighbour used to do it all the time, sounded like a pillock.

  • I do wonder where the South London accusation came from.

  • South London, of course.

    Strange question.

  • Ha!’d out loud.

  • It's South, London.

  • The accusation that this accent originated in South London, originated in South London, gotcha

  • My very, very modest portfolio on Coinbase (about 1ETH and 0.3BTC)

  • We might have a winner:

PM me, if it's near our vineyard we can pick up

  • No mention of the chateau though. It's still all to play for.
