Quintana, who was apparently eyeing up the Giro, will not be going to the Giro. The 3 wildcard spots all went to Italian teams, surprisingly.

Listening to Watts Occurring over the past year or so I’d suggest it’s not shyness. It’s closer to arrogance. The way Luke and G talk about other riders could be innocent ‘bants’ but it comes across as hierarchical and a touch passive aggressive – for me, at least.
I don’t think it’s harsh to comment on their personalities when they put them about so much now. When you have two separate podcasts you should expect the audience to critique how you come across.

What team is DSM? Old Sunweb?

Yep

I blame Luke! I sense he thrives on being one of the least liked/most respected riders in the peloton.

No Androni is the sticking point about the Giro line up for me. A Giro without Gianni Savio? I feel let down.
+1 on Geraint Thomas not coming across as a likeable guy and/or trying real hard all the time. He came across particularly bitter in the BBC mini docko a while back as well. Still, he only went and won the Tour didn't he 🤷♂️

He seems like he can't be fucked and didn't do any prep generally, with Rowe carrying him.

And they’re riding Scott now? I like it when things change a bit slower than this.

If you're ever confused, just check a teams twitter handle, you'll be able to trace them back through that.
Christ cycling is a fucking mess with no identity. No wonder fans are thin. -

All we learn from teams trading bikes is that for the most part, one groupset, frameset or wheelset is hardly any different from the other (broadly speaking) in terms of performance

Watching the end of 2016 Amstel Gold on the turbo tonight, it was quite striking how Wellens in puppy paws cut the same profile as Valverde on the hoods. This new ruling is a conspiracy against tall riders.

Oof. The BBC 'G' documentary was far from the worst cycling documentary I've seen... Admittedly he did seem a little leaden there, but he was being forced to interview for an organised fun video... Can't stand this: we used to be boring, now we're spontaneous marketing crap.

I miss the Argos Shimano days of Kittel/Degenkolb/Baby Tommy Windmills... But then 'Clean Spirit' is my second favourite cycling doc of all time.

Ineos seem to be going hard on the behind the scenes & rider fronted features this season. Definitely trying to play up their new "exciting racing" face.

Prepare like Germany, race like Brazil.

You've got it the wrong way around--all the pros are fans of hippy's, not he of them.

PP enthusiast Asgreen is 1.92m. It's discrimination.

This annoyed me so much. Name a Brazilian cyclist.

Joss Lowden apparently broke the women’s hour in training. Another gps error?

If Ineos want to be considered exciting, let’s see them lay it on the line in one of the monuments.

I didn’t see that but I did see Dan Bigham got within 1.3km of Wiggins’ hour mark in a training session this week. Impressive.

Bit harsh re his personality. I've always attributed his media persona to shyness. Or maybe not caring to ingratiate himself with us commentators. Either way, agreed that his podcast is a tough listen.
