Depending where in Bristol you want to live, but I'd also avoid that one. Partially because its a big project if inexperienced, as has been said. Partially as its pretty small for a house, and I'm not sure any amount of love will make that garden work. And partially as you can get more for your money elsewhere in Bristol. Worth following the train lines west and east and having a look around the stations.
Also, hanham Woods and the bridleways towards Bath are fun for MTB if you ever fancy a ride.
