Yeah, that kind of thing. On the Tripster it's kind of built into the frame. I think the Mason has similar thing.

Yeah but you have to buy a lot of stuff, I have a spare cassettes, wheels and chains in 11 speed.
Probably more useful for people with small cages anyways, it's pretty much the same thing in long cage. -

I modified the seat clamp and it’s maybe holding. Although it’s currently set a little low.
I’ll raise it and test and then may still epoxy it in place

Do you have the problem where the hanger bolts are too long, so you have to pull the stays apart to drop the wheel out? Been meaning to file them down but it's low on the list of to-dos.

for all its weird mechanical design choices, those frames do make lovely looking bikes
-
• #16382
Agreed
-
• #16383
Odd. I’ve never had this issue. I’ve never taken the wheel out not in a stand though. But iirc putting the rear back in seems to hit something to stop it going up further
-
• #16384
Yeah I did. It only took one puncture and fight to reinstall the wheel before I realised.
You definitely need to file them down. I think after I'd killed a RD and hanger the new bolts were already the right length. -

Maybe it does on the back and I'm thinking of the fork. Definitely remember being super fucking annoyed with it (full disclosure: I'm super fucking annoyed every time I have to work on a bike).
Need to see the inside of the dropout
It kinda has a lip but it's too high so does nothing for normal hubs and then stops dynamo hubs fitting properly.

GRX 1x mech comfortably does 11-46, may even do bigger.
30/46 x 11-42 is the new 1x
-
• #16387
30/46 x 11-42 has always been better than 1x
Speaking of 30/46 I rode the new cranks the other day. On the road. They worked. That's all.

Yes actually this is my experience as well. It’s annoying even in a stand trying to get the other end of the axle in
Also fucking annoying is that fender mount. I have an extra pack of the eyelets that go in there to mount normal mudguards on if you want?
-
• #16389
It can, even road derailleur can just about cope with 11-40 on a 50/34
-
• #16390
yes works pretty well for me. it is a little more finicky and maybe slightly more insecure but the range is pretty great.

Not bad. But for a proper off road bike still not enough.
-
• #16392
Nah, no good that. You should shift that my way to get angry at.
-
• #16393
Yeah, 34t was surprisingly ok off road even with 11-46t.
-
• #16394
That's real nice.
Domaine?

• #16395
Yep. Al5
-
• #16396
She has a rear mudguard on but no front. I can't remember why, I think maybe it was because we didn't have a bolt long enough to go through the fork crown so thanks for the offer but I'm not sure they'd be any use.

I think gcn has become a bit annoying now . A bit like that bbc motor nonce programme .
Got 38t on mine using aftermarket (Wolftooth).
