How much? Damn, I still reel at the thought of spending £50 on SPD shoes.
Did things seem cheaper in £/S/D? I simply can’t remember.
Oh now I’m getting agitated. Pass the Gaviscon. -

I’ve started sleeping in a night shirt I bought myself for christmas. Came with a bonus matching hat too, it’s great.

Do you have a candle on a candle stick too? I would!
-
• #1980
No but I think we have an oil lamp somewhere I could start bumbling about with at night!

Carbon? As a fuel source?

Just ordered a new settee/sofa/couch, and now feel rather happy with myself, it's the simple things that make middle age a joy. Need to get some new slippers soon too.
Bliss! -

Are there crumbs at the bottom when you finish?

Woke up with blurred vision in my right eye, thought it was just sleep so gave it a good rub... Nothing happened, that was an hour and a half ago...
It's calming down now but, WTaF?!? 👀

Probably nothing but Might be worth getting it checked worst case would be what happened to a colleague last year. He had grit in his eye rubbed it and detached his retina.

Yup, off to the optician shortly tho' I've been for two eye tests in the last six weeks and nothing turned up...
A similar, less extreme thing happened a couple of months ago, that went away by the next day but did make me get my eyes checked... I also managed to poke myself in the eye while sleeping before that and had a sore eye for a week or so, could be connected...

A few years ago I managed to pinch off some of the surface of a cornea removing a dry contact lens I'd slept in
Thought I was having an anuerism or a stroke or something, the lights all went starry halo effect in one eye

Bought a water flossing machine gizmo, it's great, I bloody hate flossing so this is a revelation... Such clean, wow...
Will double up as a fantastic water pistol, shame the reservoir is so puny...

I've bought a karcher so I can pressure wash the drive and patio as well as clean the car and bikes.
Definitely middle aged -
• #1995
Can you use it to water floss your teeth?
-
• #1996
Well it doesn't specifically say you can't floss your teeth. I'm sure the wife will help as a bit tricky getting the correct angle on your own

"Houses used to be built better in the past"
Find myself agreeing with this... another middle age thing? ;)
-
• #1998
It did but I've woken up with the same thing this morning... 🙄
-
• #1999
Definitely. For the UK, anyway. Single skin brick walls, shallow foundations, and shonky roof construction? Hardly a paragon of virtue.
