• Does this mean you bought the e36 m3?

I’d love the Clio but have nowhere near the means for it! Fond memories of getting my sister’s (very basic, non-sport but of similar age) Clio sideways when borrowing it to get to work when I was 17. Amazed I never put it in a ditch!

  • Man, I wish.

I picked up this little number. 323i with 100,000 miles on the clock - no rust, fsh, 4 owners etc.

I've been walking past it for 4 years - and I left a handwritten note on the windscreen last week, which just happened to be MOT day.

To be honest, I don't want the hassle of swapping cars, and really don't want to sell the Clio - but a straight 6 E36 has always been on the dream list for me, so I have to make the most of this opportunity. I grabbed a bargain here.

Kind of tempted to give it a wash and list it on ebay.

It'll be getting coilovers and M3 wheels as per the last image.

  • That's the absolute best colour too! My mum had a Boston Green E36 318is when I was a kid and I've always wanted one since, ideally an M3 obviously but I think the fact that the E36 M3 looks almost exactly like any other E36 coupé is what makes it so nice!

Mike Burroughs S54 swapped E36 is especially great.

  • Sick. I really enjoy my e46, but I often find myself wishing I’d looked for a 6 cylinder rather than the 4 I’ve got in the 320d.

And as much as I love that Clio, I can totally understand you making the choice - just fucking look at it, pure steez!

  • I've been passing and admiring your new car regularly for the last few years also. It's in very good nick for an E36.

A few other cracking cars on that street too; a pristine black Saab 99 Turbo with beige leather and a Citroen Traction Avant being regulars.

I had an E36 328i Sport coupé in Montreal Blue a long time ago as a daily driver, lovely chassis and straight-6.
