yes, there's also the packability if it's coming off/on all the time. Not massive, but eliminates a % of bulk and faff in pockets.

also put the big cuff zippers on, which 'flair' the cuff open to let a gloved hand through quickly. These work really well if you need to vent, and don't want to take the jacket off; open them up, and they gulp air straight through the whole jacket.

The cut sleeves are the difference between being able to carry the jacket in your jersey pocket or not IME. I rarely use mine much but on occasion it's quite handy.

I never even considered doing that.

I mean, even knowing about it, I'm still not sure I'd consider doing it, given how much jackets cost. But for packability, especially since I often tend to race with arm sleeves on these days it might be something to consider.
