The cut sleeves are the difference between being able to carry the jacket in your jersey pocket or not IME. I rarely use mine much but on occasion it's quite handy.

I used my PT race cape earlier today. Twice!
The flared sleeves are quite good as you can pull it over winter gloves easily and either zip & tuck (if it’s v cold), or not (if gloves are big or I'd just rather press-on).
Thanks for making stuff that makes my rides less uncomfortable!

yes, there's also the packability if it's coming off/on all the time. Not massive, but eliminates a % of bulk and faff in pockets.
also put the big cuff zippers on, which 'flair' the cuff open to let a gloved hand through quickly. These work really well if you need to vent, and don't want to take the jacket off; open them up, and they gulp air straight through the whole jacket.
