Thanks for the suggestions! I'm looking for a daily watch that is a bit fancy and a bit more 'serious' than my golden Turtle.
That Sinn is quite nice, I really like the matte finish.
Is funny that you mention the SRPC11 because I tried that one on in a shop a while ago, but it didn't do much for me, I found it a bit boring.

Breitling Aviator 8 is genuinely a nice watch for the money if you’re shopping in that £2k-3k-ish/41mm wheelhouse, for a kind of “nice but tool-y” thing. Also the Bell & Ross BR V2-92. Good bracelet available on both of them.

Yeah, the SRPC11 will suffer in comparison as it's just not in the same finishing league as the others. Well, the good news is that there's millions of watches that fit your brief. The bad news is that there's millions of watches that fit your brief! Are there any more details (budget / size etc) you can give the hive mind to help on - there's nothing more fun than spending other people's money :)
@DethBeard beat me to it - if you like that Oris, I was going to suggest you have a look at the Sinn 240 as well (although I prefer the tide version with the internal blue bezel). Or if you want a more knockabout version, the Seiko ufo reissue (SRPC11 ).
The Oris is quite different in style and price bracket to the breitlings - are you after anything in particular ? And I completely agree about making the call in person, renders / pics never capture them properly.
Just another thought - for the price of the new breitling, you could pick up a nice secondhand Superocean Heritage or a chronomat blackbird if you want the knobbly bezel...
