  • Old: Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, just off Fleet Street. Many literary connections, as the clue suggests.

It was also the home of the Rhymers' Club in the 1890s, a group of decadent poets with a penchant for wine, experimentation, and, in hindsight perhaps, less than wise life choices.

Also where the London Cycling Campaign was started in 1978.

  • Clue: take a bow, Skülly!

  • Oh I know exactly where that is

  • I really shoulda got The Cheshire Cheese but I’m busy trying to flog bike bits.

Can’t believe that graffiti’s still readable after 30+ years! An unforgettable night. I’d just been hassling D:Ream who were out for a drink with most of M People and Pepsi, or Shirley, from Pepsi & Shirley. After a few too many bottles of Sol with a wedge of lime in, and a large dab of base, I got beaten up for singing with mashed potato in my throat trying to sound more like Heather. Mike Pickering wanted to kill me! And he’s nearly as scary as his more famous brother, Ronnie.

Some of this may be hallucinatory.

  • weirdest clue ever

  • Haha

No that wasn't the clue, I was just reminiscing. oat44's last comment is the clue. Nowt to do wi me.

  • Old: Bow Roundabout, SW side (westbound)

  • Bang!
    That was swift.

  • I have no idea where the new one is, but I love it. I really want to find this one!

    Great tagging!

  • Well, I found it immediately, but to save Will a post: How about a clue?

  • I didn’t make it to the location, but during an image search to find it I did find this lovely bit of trivia.

  • Clue: bathaus, gatehouse, hothouse.

  • Brilliant. That poetry group made a point of meeting upstairs, perhaps those tiles helped?

  • OLD: a pop-up cannabis factory in the Olympic building site, Redman Place.

  • Clue; it's within sight of one of Oliver's tags from years ago. If you get it you'll almost be bowled over but not on the up.

  • Hm, the problem with this is that there are loads of them, including quite a few in London. Given the shape of the billboard, yours will probably be identifiable to a tagger, but I can imagine that someone might get another.

  • It's not on street view but the clues should take you there. Life's not a beach you know.

  • Well, I'll just hide under my duvet and I'll only come out again when it's over.

  • There's a tiny detail in the pic that shows which one is exactly, hopefully I'll be able to do it tomorrow if no one gets there before!

  • Is it the bike leaning against it? because that's not in any of the streetviews!

  • Sure it's not on streetview? I've found a mighty doppelgänger if so

  • It's not on from October 20. Seems there is more than one of them about, which I didn't know. The clues should easily give you the street name or close enough. There's another clue in my response to Oliver; a street view related clue.

  • Corrections and Clarifications: It was not a mighty doppelgänger.
