you pedal down gravel descents ?!
-
• #16203
Totally outdated thinking. For high speed, you simply need to install a gravel fairing
-
• #16204
That's supposed to be protected time for "recovery" from "efforts"
-
• #16205
protected time for "recovery"
Not for me. Can't keep control of a bike and a beer at the same time on descents.
-
• #16206
i'm pretty sure pedalling down a descent makes you a scab
-
• #16207
pedalling at all is a bit :S tbh, just suggests you haven't brought a big enough battery/planned your recharge spots effectively.
-
• #16208
I have no idea what efforts are.
Unless you can class trawling everywhere at what seems to be 10mph average an effort! Definitely need recovery for that...😅
-
• #16209
effort is what it takes to get out the door to even ride your bike, amirite!
-
• #16210
does it knock your bottles out for true authenticity?
-
• #16211
Ok, well I'm going with 'Gravel Soirée' if there's at least one other.

So I bought some gravel event wheels non-boost 0bvs from Wiggle.
They are the Prime Kanza Carbon wheels.
THEY ARE SHOCKINGLY SHIT (what was i thinking...)
Front wheel rim bed is deformed so tyre beads do not sit properly and which is really pronounced once tyre is mounted and spins.
Rear freehub makes a fucking strange noise like the something about to break every time I put "power" (lol) down...
Absolute jokes. I knew I should have gone for the new Enve's...

Ok Gritfest
Happy now?
I’ve been event doxxed

Carbon wheels cheaper than direct from China. What could go wrong? 🤔

Yes. A PDF. I look forward to your usual standard of excellent observation.
Design is everything to this business, it’s our foundations, so I take it seriously

His perchy dangle mug is gonna collect all kinds of shit from the back wheel that way round. Should have taken his cross bike and a backpack.

Germans are just weird

There’s a spelling mistake on page 18. I can’t believe they’re this careless with their 89 page PDF’s. Says a lot about their attention to detail.

No PDF bashing here. Its actually a good read. I just enjoy the perspective of some forum users on this thread. You included. My only criticism of the Fairlight lookbooks/PDFs is I would like hyperlinks if poss to jump to the bit I want to look at rather than scrolly-scrolly. No idea if thats possible?
Anyway havent you just built a Fairlight (very nice btw)?

ha! No thats a Talbot but I would 100% buy a Fairlight as soon as I invent a need for it. Its extremely detailed design bike and I hugely respect that.
Chainstay dimple in the right place for my 66t chainring that I need to avoid spinning out on gravel descents
