  • on anything that's supposed to go fast

What is this fast you talk about. I've not had a fast bike in nearly 3 years

  • Fine...

    Feel fast then?

  • Looks slick. How does the strut mount work? A bolt that tightens against both 'guard and strut at the same time?

  • Get us another couple of full cargo bike shots while you're at it :)
    I'm so jealous of it

    +1

  • Yes exactly. The cylinder acts as a nut holding the strut in place. The cylinder is bolted onto the mudguard from the inside and the length of the bolt is just long enough that it clamps the strut and applies enough tension to the mudguard. The leather helps here because it compresses and everything ends up rattle free but looks clean.

  • Proper gravel bike action. Nice.

  • GT is not quite dialled.

I need a smaller chainring, tempted to get a blue Stridsland, unless I end up swapping the cranks. I sort of want a bit more stiffness and 175 or 177.5 mm cranks instead of 172.5. also I need a wider BB if I am keep these. There is a bit too much flex so I am hitting the chainstays when pushing up climbs.

I also need some bars with more rise and the blue CK is not matching the other blue bits so might try and find a different headset.

  • She is soooo good at this. It is a real pleasure walking next to her when she giggles

  • Good to hear, glad she's enjoying her custom built bike. :)

  • Basically the GT is too small for me and I should probably shift it.

  • If only you knew someone who could build summat similar in the right size?

  • Well I am sort of. So I might sell this or just keep it for fun and upgrade it slowly. Not sure.
I need to stop getting attached to GT frames that don't fit me

  • Also would be interested

    2nds

  • Dibs noted both. I am going to need a think

  • I still have a photo on the dining room wall of my GT peace that never fit me but they just look so damn good with lots of seatpost. Keep it

  • Ok so I bought a pair of blue Sunline V One bars for the GT. Not sure if it is a great or terrible idea.
At least they har 30-40mm rise so should make the bike fit me better.

  • Great idea....

What you doing with the nittos 👀👀

  • They are for sale

  • Got the wife bike back from painters.
Paint is great and I am really pleased with my chainstay save.
Can't wait to build it up for her.

  • Also had my buddy's forks and rack painted same colour as it was only £15 extra compared to paying £60 for a colour change.
