For my sins I've never looked at one of those, what is actually in it? I always imagined it was a book of stats on every player in the world!

Mostly that, but some fun editorial about remarkable occurrences during the season too. My 9yo boy loves it, proper little Statto.

My FiL (MCC member) has every Wisden back to a few years before he was born.

I did quiz him on whether he wanted to extend it any further back but he wasn't really interested in collecting them. The early editions go for serious money.

He'll get each new year edition when it comes out and spend a good few months reading it on and off.

How thick is it?

Might have to invest in one and check it out.
