That is a great movie, was thinking about it again only last week... Time for a rewatch!

Great movie, John Cazale had one hell of a run.
The iplayer has a really good selection atm, looking forward to watching The Train on the weekend.

It's superb, One of Lancaster's best performances and probably the best film made by Frankenheimer IMO.

Watched Palm Springs last night, Brooklyn 99 meets Groundhog Day as a kinda nihilistic romcom, very much enjoyed it although not "good".
watched this on the weekend and also enjoyed it. very much a romcom but i felt its one of the few where the usual tropes were actually handled very well and wasn't just the usual feign outrage for no reason etc to check the box and move onto the next phase of the film. the characters actually behaved like real flawed people.
spoilery bit - don't read the rest of this sentence if you haven't seen it but I did wonder if maybe roy was intending on taking niles out to the cave in the final scene to trigger it all again before using the info in the voicemail. also why didnt roy take his family to the cave so he could spend eternity living a fresh new day each loop with all of them engaged in it rather than endure the same day on his own.

I’d never seen The Conversation until last night, it’s currently on iPlayer. It rolls along quietly as the clues drop and the suspense builds to a crescendo. Excellent

Three Days of the Condor is another excellent 70's film, + my all time favourite The French Connection.

So many great thrillers made around that time, on the conspiracy tip I'd throw the Parallax View into the hat.
Great artwork too for fans of that sort of thing ( @DethBeard )

I'm a terrible reader but this is going on the list once I get through my A-team novels.

• #17392
It's a much more complex film than the Will Smith retread.

There are so few good thrillers about “them” being out to get us these days, because they got us

Yes, no doubt, but as a 'follow on', albeit lighter, still has its place. Keeps you gripped...

I'd throw the Parallax View into the hat.
Always ducked because of Warren Beatty, but the storyline is great, probably more so for the lack of technology.
Question: could you really walk on to a jet in 70s America and pay cash for your ticket onboard? -

Oddball one that looks oddly prescient now - The President's Analyst.

Enemy of the State for anyone wondering. I agree with paininthe, keeps you gripped

Finally saw Saint Maud last night, if you enjoyed Hereditary and Midsommar then this is probably for you. Great stuff.

Re watched Bladerunner 2049 last night. Lighting design really is the star of the show
Watched ‘In a World’ last night. Really funny film looking at the life of Voice actors.
