Who goes through from each half of the tournament to the next bit?

Yep, but as a chess scrounger, I'm only being drip-fed them.

Top 3 advance I think. So if we both win our remaining games, you'll progress based on the tiebreaker. Because you were rated 400 at the beginning of the tournament, against my 1100 odd.
I'm not sure your rating is very accurate....

I just joined chess.com to do the tournament. Played a few 10 min games to suss it out so my rating was not accurate. Very rusty haven’t really played since school 30 yrs ago.

yeah rating won't be accurate until you have played over 30 games or so. or 50. I can't remember which system the site uses.
i guess mashton was saying there is no way you are a 400 rated player. good stuff dude

Shall I kick off another one? Perhaps a heads up tournament as suggested a couple of pages back. So there will be just the one game at a time. The only issue with two person groups is if there is a tie then both go through which means it can take forever to finish the tournament.

I'm in a similar format, seeded competition at the moment. Seems to be working well although still on g2 of rd1. It hadn't swamped the game load.

I've got one game left in T2 stage 1. I feel ready for another load of games, happy with loads at a time or just a couple.

Anyone playing me should make moves at around 6am or 4.30pm onwards when my mental powers are at their lowest

You could have checkmated me in our last game, so my resignation later on was pretty much a victory

I've asked to join the club, thread prompted me to download app and been enjoying doing the puzzles/trying against the computer hopefully able to participate, the 10 min games best for me.
