Whats the name for those mini pergola things that some buildings with lots of glass have to stop glare from the winter sun and excessive sun in the summer?

huge envy

Can anyone help with what we can do with this odd little space?
It used to be a small window on the exterior kitchen wall and is now in between the kitchen and extension (we didn’t put in a steel beam so there is a supporting wall).
The small cactus doesn’t really work! There are some nice lines the other side. Was toying with idea of some kind of coloured glass but have bit of a mind blank.

Leave the lower 1 1/2-2 feet free and put one or two shelves in above that?

taller plant, or hanging plant, or have both a hanging plant (from the bit that sticks into the extension) as well as a regular plant, will give some parallax motion as you move in relation to them (probably wrong term but I'm sure you know what I mean). Stained glass seems too fussy.
Make a little mobile if you're into crafting.

It’s probably difficult to see scale from pix but it’s a bit small for shelving
We like the shape but we’re struggling to see how to make it fun

I'd put up shelves in significantly narrower places. :)

It would keep the square look and could use it to display stuff

Lovely little detail that - how about a mirror on the wall and a mobile ? or just something on the wall that reflects or gives light / colour. Neon has kind been stolen by the LLL crowd but an actual dan flavin would look sick there.
