We've got a fair bit to do, it's true.

We had three viewings today, one was a second one which has perked me up a bit.

Although fucking annoying when you need to go somewhere else, the world is closed and its absolutely pissing it down.

Haven’t exchanged yet so hopefully not tempting fate... but am interested in the packing material. You getting rid by a certain date?

I swear my voice was a bit deeper when I woke up this morning... 🦍
We need a garage pronto (single only, unfortunately), this is kinda in the way...

God job it's pretty cool but yeah I'd kick it with bare feet and break my toes there.

40 large packing boxes in SE27 if anyone wants them. If not they’ll be recycled.

It’s in Ealing, you’d have to come and get it. Wasn’t planning on getting rid until April / may. If the stars align we’ll still have it. Drop me a line.

What are you keeping in it? Bike tools or everything tools? I don’t know you were a DIYer
-
• #42812
I have what appears to be exactly the same two cabs, but in red- lives in the utility room and is for bike tools, DIY stuff lives in the garage.

Btw there was some microwave chat a few pages ago. Does this mean that the #40kkitchen crowd eschews combi oven / mocrowaves (ie top of oven stack doubles as mocrowave) - if so why?

Doesn’t really work with the range style cooker I wanted (£183 IIRC, so ~£30 more than the microwave):

Anyone have experience with Hillary’s Blinds?
-
• #42816
They don't publish a price list therefore they are arseholes.

I've got shitloads of tools, had them forever... Some haven't been used for close to twenty years!!
This setup makes them a lot more accessible, they've been scattered all around the house up to now... I've practically filled this thing and I haven't even been through the bike tools yet...

Sucks teeth "Ooh, that's a bit tricky so it could cost a bit more for some bespoke work, but I think we can work out a good discount."
etc...
(No actual experience myself, but I'm guessing they're like Sharps...)

Sorry to get back to sofas...
Planning on refurbing our old danish one - its just the leather seat cushions that are f***ed.
Wondering if anyone has used a service where you send the old covers and they make replacements?I know they won't match perfectly but it's hard to get rid of a good sofa just because of the seat cushions.

We’ve had shutters from them in two houses now.
Both good quality and good installation.
Bit £££ and the delivery time was around 12 weeks.

Yeah not great that one.
I looked at Kast concrete basins until I saw the price... -

Does this mean that the #40kkitchen crowd eschews combi oven / mocrowaves (ie top of oven stack doubles as mocrowave) - if so why?
Because I don't have a microwave, or want one.
Single purpose best of breed appliances were what I sought.

I had them and https://www.kellysblinds.co.uk/ in to quote.
Kelly's struck me as far more knowledgeable and their quote came in cheaper so I went with them and am happy with them.

I have a standalone combi/microwave. It's very useful. I don't have a 40k kitchen though.

Cheapest microwave that looks nice, fewer functions the better. I just use it to kick start jacket spuds, cook beans and other ping cuisine. Had a combo before and never used it to anything like its potential.
Ha, fair, I take it back.
