I’ve never seen this white paper so I can’t argue with you on that, but I don’t know of any country who broke away from an unhappy union with a larger neighbour, who in this case continues to spout fiction and lies on a Trumpian scale, that ever wanted back. Why if Scotland is such a basket case, does this Tory government seem desperate to hold onto the union, certainly not largesse or any shared values. The prime minister himself has been venomous in his language towards the Scots.

Left of centre social democrats.
English nationalism and Scottish nationalism are polar opposites to one another.
English nationalism = where you from.
Scottish nationalism = where you at.
This is evidenced by the amount of diversity you’ll see at Indy events. Mosque groups hanging out with Synagogue groups hanging out with queer groups hanging out with Ghudwara groups.
All getting screamed at and spat at by English nationalists - they same types rioting in George square, throwing bottles, defending statues.
Side note - SNP leader never called me a terrorist / bank robber / watermelon smile pickney.

You forgot the anglophobia

Nah, be arsed, it’s not just your future, my kids are looking at ways of moving abroad ( until Brexit this would have been simple)because of the view of the future stuck in this world as it is, we owe it to those coming behind to leave a better place, unless there is a sea change in British politics in the next few years , independence is the only deal on the table.

anti english sentiment exists in scotland, no doubt
but it's honestly pretty much marginal in indy politics.
People often (purposefully, i suspect) conflate anti westminster/tory politics with anglophobia and really it just doesn't hold water
to test this theory - jump on an indy related twitter or faceebook thread, declare yourself English and say that you'd like to move to Scotland. 99% of the replies will be positive, welcoming you with open arms etc.

The prime minister is a Scotophobe, and proud of it, made a living writing columns about it. There is anglophobia, Islam a phobia, transphobia all the phobias you want but where is nirvana? In the EDL? Nigel Farage? UKIP , beacons of tolerance all I’m sure. The enemy is not England but the Tories and a despicable class system .

All of this.

Lets blame the Torieeez for Scotland's ills... I'm sure I've heard that before.
The SNP have been in power at Holyrood for a decade. On every metric Scotland has declined, education, health, crime, the economy. These are devolved powers.

That must have been tough with all those colonialists (and tories).

The Tories are also responsible for many of the ills of England , Wales and NI.

Thats absolutely one of the main things we have so much up here thats getting run into the ground by them, its really hard to believe that they are capable of running an independent country and I know someone said previous "we can vote for who ever we want" but i feel that is a nonsense by that point we'll be in too deep and Sturgeon will have fucked off into the ether with no real fall out for here if its good or bad.

You really should get on your bike more often, smell the roses.
Id say we are, prove me wrong but going off the previous white paper from 2014 of how the country could survive as independent. So many of the financial things proved to be nothing more than fiction and lies.
