Groenewegen's house was guarded by police for weeks after the incident in Tour de Pologne. Leads one to wonder whether Pat Lefevere should have shut his trap in the heat of the moment instead of claiming it was an 'attempted murder' on Jakobsen.

I'd like to see Pidcock in the mix as well.

I'd like that too, might give him more bargaining power to do more CX next year. However I think the sandy course will suit the heavier power guys more, especially if the grass gets muddy.

Denise the Doper on the podium? Hope not, but it could well happen. Not sure about Brandt winning it any more. She didn't look as dominant as she did earlier in the season last weekend.

Denise is damn good good in the sand.

I wonder if Brand was on the back end of a big training block. Her diesel power and running should suit this course

Can’t see Pidcock missing the podium if he’s on the form of a few weeks ago. He looked very much the best of the rest in the races I watched.
