A little pricier but a lot better/newer looking if he wants to spend more.

Sorry if this is a bit 'spammy' but I've got a frame/forks with a few other bits in E17 if that works? :)

Thanks, but that's a bit too high brow for what I'm after.
Cheers and GLWS.

Ta, will do.
He asked for me £500 bike advice, I sent him loads of decent options, he went to Wanstead and bought something new for £500.
I don't think he will listen to me for the BMX either.
I remember being 16/17 as well, pretty sure I didn't listen to anyone else either
Thanks for advice and virtual shopping everyone

A collector bought my Raleigh USA Ferret and GT Pro Performer off me last week. Been without a bmx since then. Hoping the scrapyard gets some great stuff in the coming weeks. Riding a road bike again is just too fast and nowhere near as fun.

Back in the bmx game.
Just picked this up tonight. 20.85” T-Nez with all the midschool goodies. S&M bar, stem and fork, gt cranks, fly chainring, primo rear hub, pedals and seat.
I have some parts left that I’ll swap in, a newer odyssey brake, some wider, 4 piece bars and a set of mad NOS Ballistic 20” sus forks that I’m going to try out...

Picked this up recently, 15 years after giving up the shin denting world of flatland.
Mainly just to get a quick hour of fun exercise on the pump track each week (Lewisham track is 5 mins ride away)... loving it so far, absolutely knackering.
United Squad frame, Sunday fork, seems solid.

Can I use clear brake pads on a chrome rim? Just getting back into bmx afer 15 years of not riding.
-
• #769
Wouldn’t see why not.
Probably going to be noisy as hell though.
-
• #770
You can, but it’s noisy as fuck. I have a mate who has and he avoids using his brake. If your doing it to have a good brake, I use black kool stop pads and my brake never slips

I really want a bmx set up again 😭

Prayers might be better than braking on a chrome rim, especially if wet.

🙄
Old people need to stick to mid/Old school bmx. This isn't some special innovation, and WTP haven't brought out anything amazing for as long as I can remember.
Waste of time. -

This is cute though.

£80
I'd ride that until it was wrecked.
