  • Shoot house and shipment, finally🕺🏽

  • i've never played a Final Fantasy game, primarily because the aesthetic makes my skin crawl - whiny teens with stupid hair and massive swords - bleh.

if, however, i was to bite the bullet and fire one (of the seemingly hundreds out there) up - where's a good jumping off point?

  • kinda depends how far back you're willing to go graphics wise. I'd vote for FF12 Zodiac Age. I enjoyed FF7 Remake but I'm not sure of the experience if you don't have any nostalgia attached to the original version. FF8 remaster is good too but the original was released in 1998 so not exactly graphically impressive. FF15 is good too but the gameplay is pretty different from previous versions.

  • Donut County on Gamepass is a fun little game, worth an hour or so of your time...

  • yeah defs not up for the nostalgia trip. i'll read some reviews in that case. cheers for the directs.

  • I think FF7 remake is really good but it's not a complete storyline yet, it's better than ff15.

  • The Resident Evil: Village demo "Maiden" dropped yesterday. It's <3Gb and pretty short but as a tech demo it's pretty impressive to see what the PS5 can really do.

It's ALMOST up at PC RTX shineyness levels and butter smooth for me. Worth checking out since it's free

  • speaking of final fantasy, I'm installing ff14 again. Going to have to start from scratch because there's bug that won't let you install on a mac without creating a new account

  • nevermind

    File too big

  • Pretty nice looking mod for Cyberpunk here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD8ET6Kh5nc

Definitely felt the vanilla clear skies were a bit out of place for the cyberpunk setting!

  • yeah, this is basically why I want a PS5. want to play through days gone again at that sweet sweet 4K 60fps

    This!

I want to play TLOS on 4k

  • Fuck him

    Fake news

  • The Resident Evil: Village demo "Maiden" dropped yesterday.

    Not on PC gad damnit

  • I really need to work on my gaming setup. currently have the switch plumbed into the big TV in the "adults' living room" but the seating in there is so perchy. don't really want to run it off my monitor, since I sit there 35 hours a week already for work. could maybe plumb it into partners' monitor - would feel less like being at work I guess. maybe that's the solution

given ongoing dearth of big new releases for switch, decided to pick up pikmin 3 deluxe and luigi's mansion 3 recently. P3D is so good

  • My kids would like a second controller for their Switch. Are any of the 3rd party ones any good? I’d rather not have to spend £50 or £60 on a Nintendo one.
Was looking at this one. Anyone got one?

  • I don't think any 3rd party controllers have rumble , not deal breaking but it's a nice feature.

  • I've got this one and it's good.

only downsides are it has no rumble and is wired only. let's you plug in headphones though for discreet nighttime playing

  • @moog I don’t think rumble is a deal breaker.

  • Hades.
    Anyone?

  • I’m massively in to it, I’m definitely below average in skill level and it took my 50 runs to reach the surface.

Now at 103 runs and still enjoying it, 20-30 minutes is the perfect play time for me at the moment. Don’t really want to get in to something for hours at a time.

  • It's totally immersive. In so many levels. The new Dark Souls though less difficult. Like chess, the permutations are infinite

  • Bought control on sale ahead of the ps5 uplift and now it's the free game of the month, got to be the 4th time this has happened to me. Not even downloaded it yet.

  • Lol, same/similar here.

Bought this on PS digital sale back in November 2020.

Only bought for the PS5 upgrade, so didn’t even download it and was literally waiting for the upgraded version to drop and now they announce it will be free :D

  • It would be great if they had an audible style refund system, I think steam lets you refund if its within 60 days and you havent progressed too much of the game too? This is certainly the way they need to go if they want to push digital ahead of disc by the time PS6 comes about (is it too soon to mention it?)

  • hahahaha refund... hahahah sony refund hahahhaa

it took blood and sacrifices and public out cry to get refunds on Cyberpunk on PS
