  • Ah, makes sense.

  • I like the look of those AP ones. Will get one on order.

  • And of course, the Leica that has just had a £600 service does not bloody work as it should.

Shutter seems to only fire intermittently at 500 and above.

    FFS.

  • Ah fuck man. Pure ballache. I had my Leica iiif serviced, they said one curtain needed replaced. You can imagine what happened. The not replaced curtain started fucking up.

Why do we do it to ourselves, lol.

  • Fuck! It's frustrating for sure. I think exactly the same story here. One shutter curtain was replaced during this service.....

  • stainless are way harder to load IME

    This.

  • £600 service

    Holy shit.

  • Yup. Body and lens fully serviced.

    One curtain replaced.

It's going back, hopefully they can sort it!

  • Just developed the roll that refused to go in. Creased the negatives in a load of critical places. 2/10, would not recommend.

Jesus Christ film photography is a testing hobby.

  • The grief of lost shots.

  • And the darkroom I use has now shut indefinitely/until the end of lockdown (whenever that may be). And it’s too expensive to use regularly anyway - £20 a session, or £50/mo as a key holder. My last car was cheaper to tax and insure per month ffs. Makes almost no sense to pay £600 a year when that’s more than enough to get a home set up.

I thought hobbies were supposed to be relaxing!

  • Yeah man, I had nowhere local so I converted my shed, worked out well :)

  • I read somewhere about getting a hairdryer on the spools for a few seconds before you pop them into the dark bag. Started doing it and loading film has been a piece of cake for me ever since.

  • Still find it hard to load film into this camera, any tips

Also struggling at times. Seems even when I get it across the take up reel it'll sometimes just pull back out.

Starting to wonder if the film issue I experienced a couple of weeks back was my fault as I went through a 36 exp of fomapan and the camera was fine.

  • This is a bit of me! I love this.

  • Got to say the bloke from Camera Works was very good on the phone today. Camera heading back to them this week.

  • I'm not going to use these. Anyone want them for free? (Maybe £2 for postage?).

  • Looks lovely with greens and browns IMO

  • Got the rest of the rolls back, not a great batch to be honest. Here's a few of the better ones.

  • One of two usable images from a recent roll of old/xrayed ektar on the RB67.

Note the ghosted letters in the sky.

  • Love the beach one!

  • How did you get on with it, I have the same scanner and in dire need of the software or a solution for it please!

  • This looks like X-ray or IR light damage, was the whole roll knackered or did it get better towards the middle of the roll?
