Its a good looking watch. Its symmetrical. Its got some colour. Its available. Its not obsurdly expensive. It borrows a lot from its heritage that makes it a Zenith. I think the 10 second timer is great as it is a chrono.

But itll make the softest unboiled boiled egg ever (shouldve made it a 5 minute timer for what chronos are actually used for - you gotta admit).

Where those straps to show off your watches?

I quite like the blue AR and the totally flat crystal. I think the 1521 is double AR coated (though I haven’t scratched it so maybe not), so from most angles there’s almost no reflection which suits the tooly vibe.

Anyone find the holes on a nato strap get ruined very quickly? I've stopped using mine even though I prefer the look and fit. I'm going to keep my eye out for some reinforced ones

Definitely double AR coating, the blue coat can give it a premium feel but then again, it’s entirely possible to have coating and not be blue.

Except for this where blue AR coating are not that noticeable!

Should have dig out my Squale 1521 militare out.

Decided to get a Super Compressor in the Christopher Ward sale. It feels like excellent quality for the price, lots of nice touches. Has a bit more heft than I was expecting from the reviews. First watch I've had with an adjustable clasp which I like.

Not sure whether to keep this, the vintage lume is quite affected and the blue isn’t the blue I’d prefer. Same case/bracelet as a standard ocean one and the domed crystal/stainless bezel are nice.

Edit: mind you, the blue looks different in this photo to in the room - might be the shitty lighting.
