• Mid 60s was the peak of Detroit design for me. The late 60s had some good stuff but GM dicked around and made a mess of the 1968 year models before moving away from the angular flourishes to squarer designs and fewer flourishes.

    Also amazing AMC spot. AMC never had the same volumes as GM/Ford brands and the Rambler was only produced for about a decade, and mostly as sedan. That is a rare spot indeed.

  • Ah cheers, nice to know the AMC is rare spot. I'm not familiar with the brand at all but love that wagon, the only other one I can think of is the greenhouse-windowed Pacer as seen in Wayne's World, and I think that has always been regarded as the antithesis of cool.
