Yeah I've seen sense now. For a moment I was actually thinking about it. Pretty much everything I've bought from aliexpress has turned out to be absolute dog shit.
Fifty quid on a hairdryer from aliexpress... nah maybe not. -

The Dyson hairdryers are a rip off anyway.

Not ordered one no, but I have noticed that AliExpress now charges an additional 20% of "VAT" as the UK is outside the EU...
All of a sudden all cheap Chinese stuff becomes less attractive...

LB have shipped my order apparently. It was placed on the 27.12.20, so three weeks lead time. Not too bad, maybe they have gotten over their production backlog.

Took the plunge on my first Aliexpress order ever at the end of last year. I wanted some cheap bits for commuting and winter riding and had heard fairly good things about Spexcel. Ordered an olive wind gilet, a sleeveless base layer and a pair of their cargo bibs. It arrived today and I have to say I’m really impressed with the quality and fit.
I went for large in everything as they seem to have updated their sizes to be more in line with euro stuff. The gilet and bibs fit very similar to my rapha equivalents in medium with the base layer being a bit narrow across the back but otherwise fine.
The shorts have nice grippy hems on the legs and the inside of the pockets have subtle retro-reflective details.
I think my favourite part though has to be the motivational messaging on the tags: "Surprise and Excellent" ; "Care of your feelings"

For the price it’s very good. Also have a nice mesh back for ventilation and rear pockets:

If you’re too late on that, I may be interested in joining another group buy

How do the bibs size up? I'm an L in (most) Rapha stuff but obviously bibs are not at all good if they are baggy.

@user62119 @ljmorgan i might be interested in this too - wanted to get a LB wheelset.

The L bibs size up very similar to my Rapha classic and brevet pairs that are medium with the exception of being a little tighter just above the hips. If you're normally an L in Rapha I would recommend an XL in the Spexcel. I went for the first 30km ride in them yesterday and the pad felt good as well. I used the gilet on top of a brevet windblock and the Spexcel baselayer in snowy weather and was fine temperature wise. Most impressed by the gilet so far.

Second the gilet looking good, have you got a link? Struggling to find that exact one. Thanks

These look decent. Do you have a link to the specific items?

I didn't end up in the most recent order so count me in to this one, I know what I'm after now.

The gilet does look good. Currently looking into trying out some AliExpress summer jersey, looking at Spexcel, Racmmer and SDIG.
Out of curiosity, did you buy from the Spexcel shop? I heard people saying it's a lot slower than another AliExpress shop known as "Surprise Shop", which I've not been able to find 🤔
-

It's a bit slower if you order from them directly but not by much in my experience. If I don't fancy that I just use the search to find their products and buy them from whatever other shop is offering them.
I actually bought the gilet, XL fits me well (I don't like things too tight but am 6 foot and wear a medium in DHB)
