I don’t mind the work, it suits me. Don’t mind the long hours either. But I find the endless decision making to be mentally exhausting.
Which tile? What bracket? What colour this? What boiler and how many radiators, size and type? I need a saw, which one should I get, what is it good at, what is it not? Etc
As mentioned before, decision fatigue is one of the worst parts of a refurb/building project. However much you've planned beforehand there's so much to decide, usually on the spot and it can grind you down. Hard not to make a quick decision you later regret IME.
