Damn that's nice too! What is that?!

The first one is a Tog pocket knife. Very simple, non-stainless blade but lovely nonetheless. The second is a Perkin 'bush knife'. I believe they import and rebrand knives from all over the place. It needed a fair bit of work but it's a tidy thing.

Lovely!

Does it have a spoke key built in?
-
• #3856
It’s guess technically speaking it’s a sharpening choil. But yeah, spoke key sounds good.

Except it doesn't work as one at all as it is in the ricasso... it's a style thing I guess!

Is there a forum approved magnetic knife block?
Someone posted one at some point in the past but I can't remember who it was - I'd like it to just look like a big block of wood (no visible stand or magnets), space for probably at least 4 knives? -
• #3861
That's the one - thanks!
I see you were looking at blocks too, did you get one in the end? -
• #3862
No, haven't really worked out what would be best so they're just in a drawer with a couple of these at the moment

I see, thanks.
Really I'd like something that looks like a plain cube of wood, fitting a couple of knives on each side but it's proving difficult. I've found one but it's too big, expensive & is made/sold in the US so is a no. The search continues!

More of an axe than a knife, but got this mini hatchet for wood carving, light branch duties. It's absolutely wild. Can't believe the difference over my old garden centre quality hatchet.

Wow, that’s a looker.
I just bought a new Fiskars hatchet (x7?) and grabbed a random lump of sawn timber from the garden to whack. First swing and I fully connected with an imbedded nail - nice chunk out the edge. First. Swing.

Has anyone already said that this thread should really be called Reader's Knives?

Found this in a box I was sorting through. Must've belonged to previous house owners "China Daily" stamped on the blade. Handle shape is what some folks mod opinels to be like.
Hinge was a bit crunchy but wd40 sorted. Going to sharpen the blade later then chuck it in the box with my others.
