  • Rocks on Netflix was excellent. Tough in places but didn't leave me broken like Nobody knows.

And following the Sunday afternoon musical vibe from last week The Forty-Year-Old-Version was super good. Rahda Blank was phenomenal.

Any more music focused gems i should look out for? I generally dislike musicals but i'm starting to enjoy live music in film a lot more. Sound of Metal is on the list and already watched/liked whiplash (it's a boxing movie...).

  • We watched this a bit ago after I skim read Mark Kermode's review; "empowering, uplifting, East London, crowd-pleasing" etc.

Should probably have given the review a bit more attention though, it's a bleak/depressing watch in places and properly spooked my wife out as we played spot the local neighbourhood, having earlier spoken about where we want our child to go to school/grow up...
