I have couple of laps and a pedal steel, though I have let my playing tragically lapse. I had dreams of conquering the world via the medium of cool-shirted americana. Wonderful instruments, strange learning curve....
No way is that BJ Cole on Chill Out, if you mean the move at approx 9.1o... it's a really basic noob lick, and pitchy too. (But effective.)

Anyone ever tried Pedal Steel or a Lap Steel? I've listened to about 4 different mixes/versions of KLF Chill Out the past few days and I'm absolutely obsessed with the steel sections. Through loads of reverb and delay, oof....
