I think the problem is a combination of Old Cassette / New Chain - Sloppy right-hand lever and inevitably not the best install by yours truly.
Gonna swap the chain and cassette combo now for the one on my Roberts which works perfectly, see what that does, then take it from there.
In other news - Velo Orange mudguards have arrived, but I want to wait 'till I've sorted out the gearing and brakes before I fit them. Still on the subject of mudguards - Freshtripe have been excellent to deal with - give them your custom people!

I think you touched on chain length, but if it’s helpful I’m running a KMC 10spd chain of 114 links on a long cage centaur r/m and a 53 /39 centaur chainset (425mm chainstays) and then tension seemed about right (notwithstanding you’re clearly running a triple which might have a impact)?
In other news, looks better every time I see this.
