mine was very slow in the minus 1 degree temps of Leith Hill on Sunday. It needed persuading (pulling up) to move anywhere when it was fully compressed and then only rose slowly to halfway and i had to nudge it and push the remote button again to get it to slowly rise again.

On a different note, my Reverb is notably faster as it warms up (I bought the bike into the flat from outside).
You clearly need an electrically-heated Reverb sleeve for cold weather.
