Reminds me of the Longines VHP

I think it's coloured metal. Won't patina.

I’m treating it as such, it’s a Seiko abet alarmingly expensive one but tough enough for daily workshop usage.
It’s a boring watch in the sense that it’s nothing flashy or glamorous, which is great as a daily watch.

We can see...
Should wipe off the evidence some time ;-)

Obviously, it’s not a beater, but damn that would make a great beater.
This is exactly my point!
damn nice watch! Tool watch, but a very expensive tool watch!

Similar thoughts to me tbh.
Shame the Gnomon Steinhart exclusives don’t show up here as some of them are really good.

Anyway, this is my tool watch today and it’s also very nice to look at.

his is my tool watch today
But is it really a tool watch?
My tool watch is definitely my Steinhart Ocean One. Looks good on a canvas strap, looks good overall, dont mind bumping it, isnt worth 3K.

Those pink ones are pretty cool, as is the attached Tudor sub and this:

Good question... I’d be a lot more upset if I dropped this on site than my Ocean One.

That’s the thing, put it next to a SKX and it look ridiculously glamorous.

That I really want, Tudor sub homage are awesome

I thought I prefered the polar dial, but this looks really good!

Thanks man, yeah I’m really happy with it. Was a bit nervous about whether I’d like it as they’re not the easiest watch to track down to try on, but I warmed to it pretty much instantly when it arrived and I’m going to hang on to it. It’s got a bit more heft than I was expecting but I think that’s because i haven’t worn a bracelet for about 10 years and am still getting used to it. Watch feels reassuringly tank-like, which is what I was after. Lack of anti glare/flat sapphire is probably my biggest gripe but that’s the Rolex style and I’m already used to it. I like to think of myself as a bit anti-establishment so have always been determined to dislike Rolex but it turns out they make really good watches. Who knew?

Yeah I changed my mind on that a few times, I think the hands look a bit more proportionate on the polar, but I felt black was more low key look so I went with that in the end. Pleased I did, as I now actually like the floating effect as it helps turn the bling down a bit.

only one i like at the moment is Eds... And then id baby it.
The build quality is so tough, even after a months in a workshop there’s no sight of dent, scratches or anything.
Diashield really make a big difference.

• #50824
Yeah Diashield genuinely works.

Bulova. Space watch. Again. Loving this more than expected.

Yeah, I’d recommend seeing it first. I had the ETA version, which is slimmer than the in-house 41mm BB, and it was just too chunky for me (And I certainly don’t have a small wrist at 8 inch).
