    Cheers buddy.

I think the problem is that they will not look at it. Its obviously from FAKENEWS because its not Fox. I can see them being convinced that even individual research online is wrong because Google is left.

They laughed about a guy 'who was obviously being ironic' who turned up with 8 pistols strapped to his body. all jokes asside, who brings that many guns to a protest? AMERICANS CAN CARRY GUNS! ITS THEIR LEGAL RIGHT! sure, but why EIGHT? To a protest HE CAN HAVE AS MANY AS HE WANTS, sTATE LAWS

  • Good listen on recent thread topics: https://overcast.fm/+QL2fOtsN4

  • BTW, we've left it on agree to disagree terms. I will have to wait tO seA hiStoRie pRove theM rITe.

not sure how long it will be before they start spouting about Magic Number 17 cause Q is the 17th letter or some such bullshit

  • Republican Congresswoman says she is going to raise articles of impeachment against Biden on January 21st;

  • do you think the fact that they are from where they are from and the experiences they had in that part of the world is partly to blame for their somewhat skewed / privileged outlook on recent affairs?

let's be honest, none of us got a good understanding of how to think critically compliments of the National Department of Education.

  • Pelosi has instituted a $5,000 fine for members bypassing metal detectors. $10k for repeat offenses.

  • Just read the whole thing. Sitting here shaking my head. WTF have we come to? Really hope the legal bodies in the states can manage to shut this down properly

  • I'm wondering if those Republican representatives are just showing how out of touch with life for most US citizens they are.
Don't most US high schools have metal detectors to prevent knives (and sadly guns) being taken onto their premises?

  • I wouldn't expect anything less from somebody who believes Pizzagate is real despite the fact that the people who invented the Pizzagate conspiracy theory have since admitted entirely openly that it is not real.

  • Don't most US high schools have metal detectors to prevent knives (and sadly guns) being taken onto their premises?

Yes - and most of those representatives voted for them to be installed.

  • Sure - because deep state got to them.

  • No, they are working in "Pelosi's communist America" where they are "wanded like criminals"

It's funny you say that but I was going to ask you the same thing. I honestly thought I was brought up quite Liberal with a very nasty racist society. No no... I definitely was brought up liberal.

I just don't understand when I compare it to back to there why they cant see it.

And when you said NDE, I had similar thoughts of entrenched properganda. Added to that maybe being exposed to "true freedom of speech" where you can outright lie and not be held accountable. Lamb to the slaughter.

But it's undeniable that being exposed for so long would make them a little bit rasict. Not an excuse, just very sad.

    I'm very sad.

  • yeah that sucks. I suspect a lot of these sentiments are borne out of a fear of the loss of privilege as historically marginalised voices are amplified through direct action. Most "liberals" in SA were more than happy to benefit from the inhuman policies of the National Party. Plenty of whites would clutch at their pearls while at their suburban dinner parties at the thought of Mandela languishing in prison while their kids were being raised by the maid...

don't mistake liberalism for progressive-ism. if that's even a thing.

Fuckin' hell. I've heard 5-year-olds read with a more believable tone in their voice...

  • And in that, they found the warm imbrace of the FoxNews echo chamber.

  • Pieter-Dirk Uys used to skewer this kind of thing. Think he's mostly retired now, though.

"There are two things wrong with South Africa: one's apartheid and the other's black people."

EDIT: Evita Bezuidenhout's Twitter account still cracking them out.

  • Shocking how fucking easy it is to unequivocally condemn violence and call for unity.

    Who'd have thought?

  • This thread has been quiet for 26 minutes now. Is everyone ok?

  • I was thinking the same?

Anyone else got any crazy? I have work to put off

  • Everyone's in the middle-aged thread taking pictures of their slippers and dad socks.

They're asking some children how to use the camera properly and how to upload photos to the Interweb.

[EDIT] I did actually think it was the middle-aged thread from the recent posts.

  • I came from there. It was very middle-aged.

  • The latest scandal on the metal detectors is that Bill Gates paid for them.

    It's Bill Gatesgategate.
