I think the current Australian system suits Australia very well - they get UK doctors, engineers etc without the requirement to pay for their training.

Doctor friends of mine say that the NHS has figured this out and is actively withholding the credential stamp it needs to give to allow doctors to practice in Aus/NZ (the most popular destinations).

this should at least dispel the rumour that there is an inner circle of donors getting advance tips to trade off Brexit announcements.

It is frustrating because unless hard brexiters get on board and fess up, then ask everyone to talk the Dutch gov/Matt Hancock it's gonna be a tribal fight again I fear.

Chatting to Dutch people that know Dutch journos, perhaps somebody is willing to pick these stories up and the Dutch gov can work something out.
