The last thing both Australia and NZ need is a brain drain on such a scale.

Did the tories honestly think a freedom of movement deal could be part of a FTA?!? They’ll get a worse deal than the EU packages up in a way for them to not lose face, again.

It would be a drain on the UK side only. No one I know back home in NZ want to come to Plague Island.

Assuming consistency is perhaps asking too much: They will rebrand FOM as "visa free" and the people that don't like being part of the EU, but like being linked to the ex colonies will not ask further questions.

Should have been clearer: Leave really marketed to for example people from Pakistan originally or with parents that are non UK born for example around curry houses.

And EU nationals mentioned naturalized non EU nationals sometimes voted for brexit as they didn't want EU nationals in but ones from their birth country.

They really did pit groups against another.

It was a marketing campaign unfortunately, stop EU immigrants let non EU in easier ( again... fair enough )

From what I read though leave was less popular though among non white voters as a whole.
