I love this bike!
I saved this image the first time I saw it here.
Can't explain why but I really love the full bike. (and I use to dislike white bar tapes) -

And now I’m scared to wash mine in case I find something like this. 😫
Purple and brown look good eh?

a 13 year old carbon frame with bb30. it'd have to be NOS to have to be worth it, and even then I don't think I would. AND I have a thing for buying 2nd hand carbon things that I shouldn't

The original 2008 supersix is an awesome frame IMO
Stiff, light enough, and handles very well -

I couldn't hate it any more than I do

Very nice. Is this proof you can get cable discs to work on that frame or is it more likely that the brakes are just a bit crap?
-

You can get cable discs to work on any modern disc road frame. The mounts don’t know the difference.
They probably are a bit crap. But I use Yokozuno/Juin Tech (cable actuated hydro calliper) on another bike with brifters and they are excellent.
You could do light disc group on cheap with SRAM Red 10 and Juin Tech callipers. That’s probably what I’d do. Budget best of both worlds.

I tried for a long time to get cable discs (Hy rd) to work on a caad12 and the rear never worked. The bend around the BB area is just too much, I found, even with different sorts of outer. It may have just been Hy rd but in the end I just went hydro

I had cable discs on my previous caad12. The rear was a pain indeed but it worked in the end.
Hydro now though and wouldn’t go back -

Ah, internal cable routing. Yes, could be an issue. The other bike I mentioned is external.

Could also be that the HY/RD’s are the shittest brakes ever
Yeah I mentioned that on the phone. I read on the Cannondale site that you should be able to take a warranty claim to any of their dealers and things would get sorted.
Anyway, I've started an insurance claim, emailed CSG and also got in touch with the shop who I think the frame was bought from. Just need to wait for replies now.
